A piece I wrote for Intrepid Times, ‘Red Beer in Lviv‘ – about a chaotic, freewheeling journey from Romania to Poland’s Tatra Mountains, by way of Lviv and western Ukraine – is a finalist for the Travel Media Awards 2023.
It’s an account of missing trains, cultural bafflement, climbing mountains inadvisedly and generally being clueless and unprepared, so winning a prize for all these things would be hilarious.
