My first book, Walking the Woods and the Water, has been translated into Italian and published by the wonderful Neri Pozza. You can order it here.
What I love about this cover is the way that it somehow conjures exactly what I went looking for on that walk from Holland to Istanbul: the mystery, the melancholy, the memory of an older Europe. It looks like a snapshot of a resting place on a long walk, somewhere I might have paused to drink water, look at my map, adjust the bandages on my shins or roll a cigarette before walking on.
I’m delighted to have an ongoing relationship with Neri Pozza (currently in lockdown in Milan due to the coronavirus pandemic) and look forward to being in Italy again when this crisis is over. Grazie mille!
